Rosehip Cottage, Bingham, Nottingham, UK
19th Century two-bedroom period cottage
Welcome

Beautifully situated in a quiet residential cul-de-sac, Rosehip Cottage sits amongst other period homes with a village outlook. It is only a three minute walk to the centre of Bingham with all kinds of shops, market, and public transport plus the added bonus of a brand new gym/swimming pool 15 minutes walk. Parking outside the house is available and free, although popular.

The cottage is 200 years old and would have once been the gardeners cottage although sadly, as a result, no garden of its own. However, there is a sunny terrace in the front to sit out. It is therefore full of character but SMALL with low doors and oak beamed ceilings.
Inside there are two bedrooms and a shower room/wc upstairs. The main bedroom has a king sized bed and the second bedroom a double bed. Central heating and hot water is of course available at all times. We provide unlimited fast fibre wifi and also the local library (5 minutes away) provides computers/printers free of charge by the hour.
The photographer's wide angle lens can be deceptive. It is one of the original '2 up, 2 downs' from around the early 1800s and in recent years was modernised and a staircase with small toilet/shower room added. It has been decorated and furnished in keeping with an olde worlde period complete with some antique furniture and knick-knacks so is not suitable for very young children. You do actually sense the history in the ambiance. The kitchen is big enough for 4 to eat round the table and the living room is cosy with some antique chairs.
Rosehip Cottage is not suitable for children under the age of 5 years due to the danger of small antique knick-knacks and the step into the shower.
SMOKERS may smoke out on the terrace (with ashtray) but in no circumstances in the property itself. It is no longer allowed by law in short term rental properties (Fire regs October 2023).
Set in a little no-thru road literally just off the main centre and market square of Bingham. It is quiet but a great base for the local shops and easy access to Nottingham. Fine for 4 people (max) if not too tall!!
There is free parking outside the cottage but this is not guaranteed. It's rarely a problem to find a space as normally only residents use the road but, like everywhere else, the town is getting busier. If you arrive on a busy day, there is also free parking in 'The Banks' which is the road which crosses Fisher Lane at the top.
